
Guideline on a web-based remote sign language interpretation or video remote interpretation (VRI) system

During this time of physical distancing required by the COVID-10 pandemic – when almost any schooling and medical consultation needs to be done remotely – a non-interoperable VRI system for deaf and hard of hearing persons will exclude them from important social services. It is therefore important to have a standard guideline for a VRI or VRI system, which considers interoperability and future effectiveness.
