Prof. Annapurni Subramaniam

Professor Annapurni Subramaniam: First Woman Director of Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore. Fellow of Indian Academy of Sciences and active member of the International Astronomical Union. She has done outstanding research in areas of star clusters, stellar evolution, population in galaxies and Magellanic clouds, etc. She also worked on Astrosat Mission & UV Studies and Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) project.
