Kalaiselvi: First Woman Director‑General of India’s largest research organization, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Vice‑Minister of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. She has expertise in the area of Electrochemical Science, particularly in lithium‑ion batteries. She is leading the network of 38 R&D laboratories of CSIR/DSIR that have a workforce of 4,500 Scientists.
