Celebrating women who dare to lead, innovate and forge new paths in science and tech:
Ana María Durán Quesada
Costa Rica
Physicist. Her work stands out for the incorporation of different spatial and temporal scales, as well as modeling techniques, observations and tracers to improve the understanding of the hydrological cycle and the role of surface‑atmosphere interaction. She has made a great effort to reduce the gender gap in the leadership of scientific research through the formation of the Ibero‑American Network of Women for Climate Action.
