Photo exhibition: Not a woman’s job?
Changing Faces of Science and Tech
The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.
The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.
Celebrating women who dare to lead, innovate and forge new paths in science and tech:
Ida Jallow is a Muslim-hijabi woman trained as a lawyer, having been called to the Bar in Sierra Leone in 1994. She is now a member of The Gambia and New York Bar Associations with 31 years of post-call experience. Ida Jallow first joined ITU on a short-term contract to coordinate the telecommunications regulatory HIPSSA project for Sub-Saharan Africa in 2021. She is currently a full-time staff member at ITU, serving as the Focal Point of the Telecommunication Development Bureau for Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
