Photo exhibition: Not a woman’s job?
Changing Faces of Science and Tech
The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.
The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.
Celebrating women who dare to lead, innovate and forge new paths in science and tech:
Prof Agnieszka Zalewska is a Polish physicist, specializing in experimental particle physics. She worked in the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Cracow and participated in a number of international experiments in Europe, USA and Japan. In 2012, she was elected President of the CERN Council. Prof Agnieszka Zalewska was the first woman and the first Polish physicist to fill this position.
