Changing Faces of Science and Tech

The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.

The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.

With over 13 years of service, Jenny Velasco, a licensed mechanical engineer and Senior Science Research Specialist at the DOST‑MIRDC in the Philippines, expertly programs, operates, and conducts technical training on CNC milling and lathe machines, showcasing women’s proficiency in a traditionally male‑dominated field. Her contribution in the field of science and technology has provided a powerful boost to the development of modern machinery industry.
