Changing Faces of Science and Tech
The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.
The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.
Celebrating women who dare to lead, innovate and forge new paths in science and tech:
Prof. Dr. med. Harriet Thöny’s pioneering work with diffusion‑weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging has revolutionized outside brain medical diagnostics, notably improving early cancer detection and monitoring. “For me, the world of science is an inspiration without limits allowing to work together in an interdisciplinary way beyond cultural, religious, gender, age or any other differences for the best of our patients.”
