Changing Faces of Science and Tech

The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.

The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.

Three generations of women in the Bheergoonath family are united in progress through technology. The daughter Shiksha, who has cerebral palsy, is homeschooled by her mother and grandmother. Taught to use technology and supported by her mother’s unconditional belief, Shiksha’s is empowered to overcome physical limitations.
