Changing Faces of Science and Tech
The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.
The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.
Celebrating women who dare to lead, innovate and forge new paths in science and tech:
Elena Cattaneo is Full Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Milan and director of the University’s “Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Pharmacology of Neurodegenerative Diseases” within the National Institute of Molecular Genetics. Her lab research focuses primarily on Huntington’s disease. In 2013 she was appointed Senator for Life by the President of the Italian Republic Hon. Giorgio Napolitano for her scientific merits.
