Changing Faces of Science and Tech

The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.

The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.

Dr. Katalin Balázsi
Hungary

Dr. Katalin Balázsi is the Head of the Thin Film Physics Department at HUN‑REN Centre for Energy Research in Budapest. Dr. Balázsi is the President of the Association of Hungarian Woman in Science, and an academician of the World Academy of Ceramics. In 2023, she was awarded with the Hungarian Gold Cross of Merit. Katalin Balázsi is married and is a mother of two boys.
