Changing Faces of Science and Tech

The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.

The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.

Melita Menelaou
Cyprus

Melita, a Chemical Engineer holding a PhD, has collaborated with prestigious research groups in Europe and Asia. Presently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering at Cyprus University of Technology, she was recently recognised with the “Christiana Kouta” Female Personality Award. Her research focuses on synthesising inorganic (nano)/materials.
