Changing Faces of Science and Tech

The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.

The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.

Moya Lee and Rita Perez are both engineers. In the picture they are working on the commissioning of the collimators, equipment required to absorb any particles that deviate from the beam. Rita has worked in the vacuum and magnet groups at CERN. Moya entered the world of science and engineering at 32 after being a stay‑at‑home single mum.
