Changing Faces of Science and Tech

The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.

The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.

Belén María Salvachua Ferrando

In 2008 Belén Salvachua obtained her PhD from the University of Valencia while being part of the ATLAS group, one of the four big experiments at CERN. She then moved to work on the operations of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Now she designs equipment for the CERN accelerator complex.
