Changing Faces of Science and Tech
The photo exhibition Not a woman’s job? is organized by the Perception Change Project at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of the European Organization for Nuclear Research and the International Telecommunication Union.
The Organizers have invited ITU stakeholders to submit photos featuring the achievements and stories of women (18+) who have challenged gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in the field of science and technology.
Celebrating women who dare to lead, innovate and forge new paths in science and tech:
A student of Vitebsk State Industrial and Technological College, Daria Tarasevich developed sensory glasses for visually impaired people. When a person approaches any obstacle by a meter or less, the glasses begin to vibrate. Daria Tarasevich and her scientific adviser Kristina Kustova plan to improve the gadget by adding several useful functions and giving it an aesthetic appearance.
