​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Digital transformation can play a significant role in supporting efforts to tackle climate change and accelerate climate adaptation and mitigation actions. 

ITU, being the UN specialized agency for ICTs, is contributing to the UN system-wide coordination, or “delivering as one”, on addressing climate change by using digital technologies and is taking the necessary steps to deepen the global understanding on the relation between ICTs, digital technologies and climate change.

​What is COP26?​

The UN Climate Change Conference COP 26 is a crucial opportunity to achieve pivotal, transformational change in global climate policy and action. 
 
The COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference, hosted by the UK in partnership with Italy, will take place from 31 October to 12 November 2021 in the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, UK.
