The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is pleased to invite you to the live webinar ''Episode 10: “Insights on DFS Security Labs Implementation in Caribbean and Peru" taking place on
8 September, 2026, from 16:00 – 17:00 CET via Zoom.
This webinar is part of the ITU DFS Security Lab series, which facilitates knowledge sharing on the implementation and operationalization of DFS security frameworks across different regions. As Digital Financial Services (DFS) continue to expand, regulators are increasingly establishing DFS Security Labs to strengthen oversight, validate the implementation of security controls and international standards by DFS providers, and enhance trust in digital financial ecosystems. DFS Security Labs play a critical role in enabling regulatory security testing of DFS applications across Android, iOS, and USSD platforms.
The deployment and operationalization of DFS Security Labs varies across countries, influenced by regulatory mandates, market structures, and institutional capacity. This session will focus on country experiences in the use of DFS Security Labs, highlighting how regulators have operationalized the labs within their supervisory frameworks and how this has contributed to measurable improvements in the security of DFS applications. It will also examine how the use of the labs has supported the adoption and implementation of ITU DFS Security Recommendations by DFS providers.
Target Audience
This webinar is intended for policymakers, telecommunications regulators, financial sector supervisors, cybersecurity professionals, development partners, law enforcement agencies, and industry stakeholders involved in digital financial services, financial integrity, and cyber resilience.
