Prior to joining ITU, he spent six years specializing in enterprise and telecommunications security operations, mobile network security, and infrastructure protection.

She currently leads the implementation of the DFS Security Lab, developed with support from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities and resilience across digital financial services in Peru. Her work focuses on cybersecurity assessments, vulnerability analysis, and threat intelligence to support risk-based supervision and strengthen cyber resilience. She also contributes to the development of supervisory guidance, regulatory initiatives, and capacity-building programmes across the financial sectors.

Nykole holds a Master of Science (MSc.) in Information Systems and Applications and has earned professional certifications in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Her professional interests include cybersecurity, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the application of emerging technologies to improve public sector services and secure digital ecosystems.
