Procedure to obtain an authorization number for a Russian visa:
Citizens of some countries are required to obtain a visa in order to enter and spend any time in the Russian Federation. If required, visas must be requested before the date of arrival in Russia from the embassy or consulate representing the Russian Federation in your country or, if there is no such office in your country, from the one that is closest to the country of departure. Deadlines vary, so it is suggested to check directly with the appropriate representation and apply early.
The ITU Regional Office in Moscow has the accreditation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Russia and can assist with visa support for official events such as this one.
Please follow the steps below:
1. Register online for the meeting to obtain the registration ID. Please note the reply-email confirming registration should not in any circumstances be interpreted as authorization to obtain entry visa or an invitation letter to support the visa request process.
2. Complete the visa request form and send it in Word format with a scanned copy of your passport to Ms Vera Soloveva at vera.soloveva@itu.int by 19 April 2019.
3. Following the request of the ITU Regional Office in Moscow, the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs will authorize embassy or consulate representing Russian Federation in your country to issue a visa.
