2019 Broadcasting Technology Expo and Workshop, Geneva, Switzerland, 17-19 July 2019 - Program

Expo​

Exposition will feature new technology demonstrations from ITU-R Members and companies who work with them day-to-day.​
  • ​Nippon Hoso Kyokai (NHK) will demonstrate the advanced audio systems developed in the Study Group, that will be featured during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics
  • ​The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) “Blue Room” will show new programme making techniques and how audience interact with new audience services
  • ​Fraunhofer will demonstrate Advanced Audio Systems
  • ​Dropbox will show collaborative media processing
  • ​Marquise Technologies will be demonstrating “Componentised Media” workflows​
  • ​The Broadcast Technology Institute (IRT) will show how 5G can be used for “traditional” broadcasting
  • ​A combined group from Working Party 6C’s Rapporteur Group 33 will demonstrate the tests of the Study Groups Advanced Audio Systems as used on the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.

On Thursday 18th July the Study Group will hold a Press Briefing celebrating the launch of the ITU-R Recommendation ITU-R BS.2127 “ADM Renderer” and a Reception to encourage delegates and the press to interact with the demonstrators.​​
