Common understanding of FWS, the use cases it enables, capabilities, opportunities and challenges it presents.
What is FWS and what are the main uses cases?
What makes FWS different than other radio systems?
What opportunities does it present for enhancing wireless communications?
Do the deployment considerations vary between public and private FWS networks?
Experiences from membership in deploying FWS and approaches in mitigating security risks and promoting energy-efficient networks from a policy, regulatory and operational perspectives. It will be divided in two sub-sessions – one providing policymakers/regulators perspectives, and the other, providing operators/vendors' views.
What are domestic policies governments have taken regarding deployments of FWS?
What are operators' experiences in deploying and operationalising FWS from a planning, deployment, operation and maintenance standpoint?
What are regulators' experiences in implementing updated regulations on FWS?
As FWS are rolled out across the globe, this forward-looking session will tease out trends in future FWS, innovation solutions on FWS and incidence of related emerging technologies and applications on FWS.
What direction does the industry, academia and research institutions set for FWS? What are the expected benefits, and will it require a substantially different approach to deployment and requirements for FWS?
