BDT Director's Corner: Activities

While delivering a keynote address at the 49th Research Conference on Communications, Information and Internet Policy (TPRC 2021), the BDT Director presented an international perspective on the challenge of achieving a fully connected planet.

She recognized the conference's multidisciplinary character and its involvement of a broad plurality of participants as unique strengths, and called for people-centric multistakeholder partnerships to prevent the digital divide from becoming the new face of inequality.

This will be vital to sustainably build a ''world where everyone has digital access that is safe, actionable, and affordable, and where everyone is digitally empowered to build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities'', she stated.
