BDT Director's Corner: Activities

BDT Director Ms Doreen Bogdan-Martin accompanied by Mr Stephen Bereaux, Deputy to the Director and Bruno Ramos, Regional Director for the Americas region met with Mr Leonardo Euler de Morais, President of the National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) of the Federative Republic of Brazil on 12 April 2021. Mr Morais was joined by Ms Tais Maldonado Niffinegger, Head of ANATEL International Affairs Office, Ms Andrea Grippa, Deputy to the Head of ANATEL International Affairs Office and Mr Ronaldo Neves Moura Filho, Chief of Staff of ANATEL's Presidency. They discussed strengthening collaboration to build a fit-for-purpose BDT, and expanding digital inclusivity and progress in Brazil. Ms Bogdan-Martin noted Brazil's active involvement in the lead up to the 2021 World Telecommunication Development Conference, as the country is an active partner in many BDT programmes.
