The Workshop
This training workshop “Network Cost Modelling for Countries in the Caribbean Region” was organized jointly by the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the ITU and the Telecommunications Policy and Management Programme, Mona School of Business, University of West Indies, Kingston - one of the Nodes of the ITU Centres of Excellence Network for the Caribbean region.
 
The event was held in Kingston, Jamaica from 4-8 October 2010. This training workshop was a five-day expert level workshop, which seeked to analyze in detail the advantages and disadvantages of different cost models, including their implications for the calculation of cost-based tariffs for regulated retail and wholesale services and the challenges of data collection.
