2 July 2013: ECOSOC Roundtable Breakfast: ‘Mobile Worlds, Mobile Actions – mHealth: The Opportunity for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)’

July 2013: ITU and IFPMA, organized a Ministerial Breakfast Roundtable to discuss how mobile technologies are changing healthcare and health-management context for NCDs to provide new opportunities for prevention and control.

The event focused on four key areas of discussion:

The use of mobile technology to improve people’s daily lives
Ways to address impeding factors and develop approaches that work at scale
Secure inter-sectoral partnerships and share lessons learned
Achieve sustainability through government ownership and leadership
