| What is TIES |
TIES (Telecommunication Information
Exchange Service)
is a set of networked information resources and services offered by
ITU to its Members (ITU Member States, Sector Members and
Associates) to support their participation in the
activities of the Union.
TIES is available without any charge to ITU
Member States
(including Geneva-based Permanent Missions), ITU
Sector Members and
Associates.
TIES Focal Point
In each organization/company, there is a
TIES Focal
Point responsible for:

accepting/refusing requests to create TIES Accounts in the
organization/company;
-
maintaining the list of TIES Accounts in the
organization/company updated;
-
deleting TIES Accounts.
The TIES Focal Point has a
dedicated Web
page, which is accessible with an Access Code.

TIES gives access to:

Conference, Assembly and meeting documents (including
contributions, working documents, reports, etc…);

ITU-T Recommendations (in all formats);
-
Registered FTP server containing information from the ITU
Document Store;

Access to Study
Group FTP areas is granted directly by the ITU Sector concerned. Please contact them directly:

Electronic Document Handling (EDH) Services

Internet Services (E-mail, FTP, www, Newsgroups)
Access to TIES Services is given after
registration and creation of a
TIES Account. To register, please complete the
TIES Online Registration
Form.
Note: TIES Services
for registered users do not include free access to the paying
Services (ITU Publications Online and ITU Electronic Bookshop).
