Technical framework for countering mobile in-application advertising spam |
|
Recommendation ITU-T X.1249 provides a technical framework for countering mobile in‑application advertising spam. Mobile in-application advertising spam is the sending of unsolicited advertisements, which are displayed within a mobile phone application. This unsolicited advertising can appear on the display screen of a mobile device as a banner at the top or bottom of the screen, a mobile interstitial, or an overlay. Along with the rapidly increasing development of mobile applications, mobile in-application advertisement has been surging dramatically. Filtering malicious advertisements may improve the user experience and even security. Therefore, it may be beneficial to establish a practical framework for countering mobile in-application advertising spam, which can reasonably integrate the advantages of all countermeasures. |
