Gerald Conover is a world-renown expert on intelligent transport systems and services. As managing director of PRC Associates, Mr. Conover continues to apply his broad ITS experience and expertise to solve the problems of, and create new opportunities for, companies and public agencies in the ITS community. His specialties are management consulting and strategic planning.
His particular expertise is ITS systems and service business and product analysis, product strategy and plans, and globalization.
Mr. Conover is on the Board of Directors of the World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (serving for 22 years), having served as its chairman and head of finance (five times). He is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America and currently leads that Society’s international relations activities.
Mr. Conover is the 2005 recipient of the Society of Automotive Engineer’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Award for excellence in moving forward ITS technologies and applications. In 2012, Mr. Conover was received the ITS World Congress lifetime achievement award for contributions to the World Congress and the world ITS community.
Active in the auto industry for more than 40 years, Mr. Conover was the first leader of Ford’s global ITS effort, creating strategies and plans to link Ford in the US with Ford’s many businesses in Europe – including Jaguar, Volvo and Mazda – for lean, efficient and global ITS development and product implementation.
Mr. Conover advises chief executives and global business unit leaders around the world, helping companies and agencies grow and prosper.
