​​Delivering Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Development​
A conversation with H.E. Luis Guillermo Solís, President of Costa Rica

Monday, 8 June 2015, from 10.30 to 12.00  (ITU Headquarters, Geneva – Popov Room)

On 8 June, President Luis Guillermo Solís will be inaugurated as ITU Patron for Youth and ICT during a special ceremony in Geneva.

The ceremony will include a 45 minute panel discussion on the intersection of youth, ICT technology and sustainable development (see schedule below), and will explore, among other topics, the pioneering role that young people are playing by driving innovation in the ICT/technology sector.

The discussion will address some of the latest and most exciting innovations in the field of social business, discuss the role of technology in helping to accelerate the UN’s Sustainable Development agenda and explore ways for young citizens to contribute. The panel will connect a dynamic group of speakers onsite and online, including young innovators doing amazing work around the world. Following the panel discussion, a 20 minute Twitter Q&A will be held using #youthnow.
