Harin manages a cluster of divisions in IMDA’s Connectivity and Competition Development Group which are involved with technical regulation, namely “Resource Management & Standards” and “Interconnection & Access”.
The portfolio of the cluster covers the planning, management, coordination, allocation and assignment of radio frequencies, the national telecommunications numbering plan, the development of national telecommunication standards, the formulation and implementation of policies relating to economic and technical regulation, as well as access to buildings and facilities for use by telecommunication service providers.
Prior to this, Harin headed the Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network (Next Gen NBN) programme office at IDA.
