Les Brown Q3 Rapporteur, ITU-T
Les Brown has over 40 years of experience specializing in the standardization of wire-line data communication technologies, including voice-band modems, DSL modems, and wire-line based home networking. He has held many leadership positions in ITU-T and Broadband Forum over the years. Les is currently the Rapporteur for ITU-T Question 18 of Study Group 15 and Associate Rapporteur for ITU-T Question 4 of Study Group 15.

Olivier Bouffant
Chair of ETSI TC ATTM AT2 | Infrastructure of broadband networks standard manager, Orange
Olivier Bouffant graduated from the University of Toulon, France in Electronics in 1992. He joined the France Telecom R&D centre in Lannion in 1994 to work on local loop technologies based on xDSL and FTTx. In 2005, he became responsible of infrastructure studies in Orange Labs about building cabling and home networks connectivity. In 2017, he became project manager on FTTx anticipation studies at Orange Labs and since 2019, he is the standard manager in infrastructure of broadband networks. He is also involved in standardization about communication infrastructure at national (AFNOR), European (ETSI ATTM, CENELEC TC 215) and international levels (ISO/IEC JTC1 SC25) where he is the chairman of ETSI/ATTM/AT2 and AFNOR UF215 commissions.

Philippe Chanclou Manager, Fixed Access Networks team, Orange Labs
Philippe Chanclou received the Ph. D. and Habilitation degrees from Rennes University, France in 1999 and 2007 respectively. He joined the R&D facilities of France Telecom in 1996 where he worked on the research of active and passive optical telecommunications functions for access networks. In 2000, he joined the University of ENST-Bretagne (now IMT Atlantique) as a senior lecturer where he was engaged in research on optical switching and optical devices using liquid crystal for telecommunications. During 2001 to 2003, he has participated to the foundation of Optogone Company. Since 2004, he joined Orange Labs where he was engaged in research on the next generation optical access networks. He is now manager of Fixed Access Networks team. This team carries out delivery, anticipation, standardization and research concerning FTTx topics for Home (Passive Optical Network), Enterprise (Passive Optical LAN) and cell site (including the transport of radio access network interfaces “xhaul”: backhaul, midhaul, fronthaul).

Frank Effenberger Q2 Rapporteur, ITU-T
Dr. Effenberger has worked in the optical access field at Bellcore, Quantum Bridge Communications (Motorola), and Futurewei Technologies, where he is now the Fellow for fixed access network technology. His team works on forward-looking fiber access technologies, with several “world’s first” prototypes and trials. Frank is the rapporteur for ITU-T Q2/15, vice chair of ETSI F5G ISG, is a Fellow of the OSA and the IEEE, and holds 130 US patents.

Olivier Ferveur Chair of ETSI ISG F5G | Senior Architect, Service Transport Networks & Fixed Access, Post Luxembourg
Dr. Olivier Ferveur is a dedicated professional in the telecommunications sector, serving as a senior architect at POST Luxembourg since 2009. His Ph.D. research into IP/MPLS transport architectures has informed his substantial contributions to the field. As the chair of the ETSI ISG F5G, he has played a collaborative role in advancing fixed network technologies.

Jan Hesselbarth Professor, University of Stuttgart
Jan Hesselbarth was born in Dresden, Germany, in 1970. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich), Zürich, Switzerland, in 2002. He worked as a Design Engineer with Huber+Suhner AG, Herisau, Switzerland, from 2001 to 2005, and as a Member of Technical Staff with Bell Labs, Dublin, Ireland, from 2005 to 2008. He then joined ETH Zürich as a Senior Researcher and a Lecturer. Since 2011, he is a Professor with the Institute of Radio Frequency Technology, University of Stuttgart, Germany. His research interests include antennas and millimeter-wave circuits and packaging.

Debin Hou was born in China, 1983. He received the B.S. degree from the School of Physical Electronics, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu China, in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in the School of Information Science and Engineering, Southeast University (SEU), Najing, China, in 2013. From 2013 to 2022, he worked in the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves, Southeast University, as a associated professor of the School of Information Science and Engineering. Since 2022, he is the CEO of MISIC Microelectronics Co. Ltd. His current research interests include millimeter-wave on-chip components, integrated circuits and systems.

Volker Jungnickel Head, Metro-, Access and Inhouse Systems, Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institut
Volker Jungnickel (M’99) received PhD and habilitation in Physics and Communications Engineering in 1995 and 2015, respectively. He joined Fraunhofer HHI in 1997, working on optical wireless communications, multiple antennas in mobile networks and fixed optical access networks. Currently, Volker leads the Metro-, Access and In-building networks group at HHI. Since 2002, he also teaches and supervises master and PhD thesis at Technical University of Berlin, where he was appointed as extraordinary professor in 2021. Volker serves on TPCs of optical and wireless conferences e.g. at OFC and ECOC and VTC where he organizes workshops to promote these technologies. Volker is an active contributor to ITU-T Q3/SG15, technical editor of IEEE Std 802.11bb-2023 and chair of IEEE Std 802.15.13-2023.

Qizheng Li is mainly engaged in technical research and standardization on optical access network technologies for years, including the WDM-PON, 50G-PON, FTTR and VHSP. He is the editor of ITU-T standard G.fin-XDLL, he also serves as the co-editor of ITU-T standards G.sup.FIP4H.

Huanyu Li Manager, Shenzhen Tefa Information Optical Network Technology Co., Ltd.
Huanyu Li has been engaged in the research and development, production, and quality control of fiber optic cables, optical jumpers, and passive optical devices products. He has published more than 10 papers, obtained more than 10 patents, and participated in the formulation of more than 10 domestic and international standards for communication. In May 2022, he served as an expert member of the compilation team of the Guiding Opinions on the Development of Guangdong Wire and Cable Industry 2022-2025, and won the title of "exemplary individual" of Guangdong Connector Association in 2023.

Qiang Cheng is a senior expert in the standardization, and has over 20 years of experience specializing in the research and standardization of access/home network technologies, e.g. DSL, PON, VLC, Wi-Fi. He actively participates in ITU-T SG15 Q3 and CCSA TC6 WG2. He has drafted more than 20 China national standards in access/home network area. He also work as co-editor of G.9940, G.fin-NM, and G.wmci etc.

Dr. Ning Wang received his PhD degree in optics and photonics from University of Central Florida in 2020. Since 2021, He joined China Mobile Research Institute and working on the research and standardization of the next generation of optical access networks. His research interest includes high speed PON, FTTR, optoelectronic devices and nonlinear fiber optics. He has published over 20 journal papers and conference proceedings. Dr. Ning Wang has also intensively contributed to the standards of 50G PON and FTTR in ITU-T, and serves as the editor of G.sup.CMAFP.

Tony is now the standard director of EU in Huawei Optical Business Product Line, leading optical standard group for ITU-T SG15, IEEE 802.11, ETSI ISG F5G, BBF, CCSA TC6, etc. He actively participates in various standard areas of optical network, e.g. access & in-premises networking technologies, Wi-Fi, network management, IoT protocols. In ITU-T SG15 Q3, Tony focus on fibre based in-premises technologies, including Fibre-to-The-Room (G.fin), Unified wire-line communication standard series (G.hn), light communication standard (G.vlc). He is now the Associate Rapporteur of ITU-T Q3/SG15.
