ITU World Radiocommunication Seminar (WRS-18), 3 to 7 December 2018, Geneva, Switzerland

The ​​​​​​ITU Radiocommunication Bureau has the pleasure to invite your Administration or organization to attend the ITU World Radiocommunication Seminar 2018 (WRS-18), to be held in Geneva, from 3 to 7 December 2018.
The ITU organizes World Radiocommunication Seminars (WRS) on a biennial basis, in complement to the cycle of Regional Radiocommunication Seminars (RRS). WRS deal with the use of the radio-frequency spectrum and the satellite orbits, and, in particular, with the application of the provisions of the ITU Radio Regulations.
WRS-18 sessions will be organized in two parts as described below.​​​​

1. WRS-18 PLENARY SESSIONS (3 to 4 Dec. 2018)

From 09:30 on Monday 3 December to 17:00 Tuesday 4 December
The seminar’s plenary sessions, provided with simultaneous interpretation, will cover general radiocommunication related matters, applications of ITU Radio Regulations provisions and trends in various radiocommunication services.  

2. WRS-18 WORKSHOPS (5 to 7 Dec. 2018)

From 09:00 on Wednesday 5 December to 17:00 on Friday 7 December
The seminar’s workshops will enable participants to prepare their own schedule, based on their interest, alternating between space and terrestrial services and between lectures and practical sessions. They will allow participants to get hands-on experience with ITU notification procedures as well as with the software and electronic publications made available by the Radiocommunication Bureau to the ITU membership. Tailored sessions will be available for both beginners and advanced users.

  

Webcast and Captioning

Webcast (in the 6 languages of the Union) and Captioning (English only) will be provided for the WRS-18 Plenary Sessions only.
