Professor Hassan Radoine

​Director of School of Architecture, Planning & Design, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Morocco

Professor Hassan Radoine is Director of the School of Architecture, Planning and Design at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. He was previously the Director of the École Nationale d'Architecture, Rabat, and the Head of the Architecture Department at the University of Sharjah, UAE. He received his Architecture Diploma from Rabat’s École Nationale d’Architecture. As a Prince of Wales Scholar, he also earned a Master’s degree from the Prince of Wales’ Institute of Architecture and University of Wales. As a Fulbright Scholar, he completed his M.Sc. and PhD in Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. He has taught at UPenn, Dartmouth College, University of Sharjah, American University of Sharjah, and Al Akhawayn University, and consulted internationally for UNESCO, UN-Habitat, ICCROM, MCC, the World Bank, and the Aga Khan Award of Architecture. His research and practice interests include Smart and Sustainable territorial Planning, Urban Conservation & Development, Smart and resilient human establishments, Sustainable Contemporary Architecture and Urbanism in the MENA region. He is widely published and has a recent book with Wiley International entitled: “Architecture in Context: Designing in the Middle East”.
