Dr. Geoffrey Gitau

Dr. Geoffrey Gitau Kamau has immense knowledge and experience in ICT and entrepreneurship, and ICT/telecommunications policy. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and MSc in Entrepreneurship both from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). He also holds several postgraduate and ICT professional credentials including Master in Communications Management - eMCM (UK Telecommunications Academy & University of Rwanda), MISM Keller Graduate School (USA); Cisco CCNA - San Diego College (USA), Diploma IMIS –UK, and IBM Cyber Security Specialist certification. His first degree was Bachelor of Education (Mathematics and Computer Studies from Kenyatta University. Currently, he is enrolled for a post-doctoral PhD in Information Systems at University of Nairobi.
Dr Gitau has served as an ICT and Entrepreneurship Consultant to African Advanced Level Telecommunications Institute (AFRALTI), the British Council, the World Bank, Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD), and Centre for International Training and Executive Development (CITED). Dr. Geoffrey Gitau is affiliated to Zetech University (Kenya) lecturer in ICT and Entrepreneurship. Previously he has served as senior lecturer in a number of universities including University of Nairobi, Kabarak University, Kenyatta University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT), Kirinyaga University, and Southern Eastern Kenya University. He published two books (Entrepreneurship, and Management Information Systems), and over 20 research publications in local and international journals on ICT policy, innovations and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Gitau has been a panelist, innovations presenter and active participant in ICT policy, innovations and entrepreneurship in local and international forums including ITU Regional Economic Dialogue for Africa (RED-AFR), Commonwealth Telecommunication Organization (CTO), Freedom Online Coalition, Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA – Kenya), Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), the Daily Nation Newspaper, the Standard Newspaper, among others. He has served the Government of the Republic of Kenya as Board of Director in National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority (NWHSA) and a number of public secondary schools.
