​ITU and the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) have undertaken a project to deploy wireless broadband connectivity and develop ICT applications. The project is facilitating the provision of free or low cost digital access for schools and hospitals, and for underserved populations in rural and remote areas in Rwanda.​​
