Summary: Interactive services facilitate real-time communication between users and systems, becoming increasingly intelligent with advancements in AI, big data and IoT. These services are prevalent in sectors like customer service, online shopping, smart homes, and more. The IoT's distributed nature poses significant interactive challenges, such as device to device collaboration, device to cloud collaboration, service autonomous discovery, services composition and so on. Fortunately, with the development of artificial intelligence, we can adopt AI agent methodology to build distributed IoT interactive services. The AI agent methodology is presented to manage this complexity, with agents operating based on local mechanisms and exhibiting emergent behavior. This Supplement aims to describe a framework of agent-based IoT interactive services, which includes goal setting, environmental perception, constraints management, learning and reasoning, error calculation, planning and decision-making, and optimization. These components work together to enable the distributed IoT interactive services provide real-time interaction, collaboration, personalized responses and perform other specific operations. This framework is essential for coordinating, communicating, and ensuring security and learning in multi-agent scenarios within the distributed IoT interactive services.
