Safeguarding digital resilience

Together with France and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), we launched the inspiring new Coalition for Sustainable AI during the high-profile AI Action Summit in Paris, France.

Our first International Submarine Cable Resilience Summit, hosted in Abuja, Nigeria, underscored the vulnerability of undersea telecommunication cables and the need for robust cooperation between governments and industry players to safeguard this critical digital backbone.

In the realm of space-based radiocommunication services, meanwhile, we expanded our global monitoring capabilities through a new cooperation agreement with Qatar.

Starting in February, our six-part Regional Development Forum series briefed governments, regulators and development partners on key priorities ahead of our World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC‑25) later in the year.
