ITU-T G.974 (07/2007)

Characteristics of regenerative optical fibre submarine cable systems

ITU-T Recommendation G.974 is concerned primarily with the system performance and interface requirements of regenerative optical fibre submarine cable systems. The physical implementation of such systems is considered separately in Annex A. Common items relevant to all the optical fibre submarine cable systems and the characteristics of optical fibre submarine cables are described in [ITU-T G.971], and [ITU-T G.978], respectively.
