En aplicaciones y servicios que utilizan identificación por etiquetas, es necesario minimizar la longitud de la codificación OID. Esta Recomendación | Norma Internacional proporciona el registro de los arcos OID que permite esquemas de identificación para aplicaciones y servicios que emplean identificación basada en etiquetas para su identificación con un OID que se codifica con dos octetos. La Recomendación UIT-T X.668 | ISO/CEI 9834-9 especifica la información y justificación que debe proporcionarse cuando se solicita un OID para dichos esquemas de identificación, y los procedimientos para el funcionamiento de la Autoridad de Registro. |
