The baseline year for the flow analysis is 2019 since it was considered that the information from
managers, importers and producers would be easier to obtain.

                  3.3 Methodology for estimating WEEE

Recommendation ITU-T L.1031 presents two possible methodologies for developing the WEEE
inventory. A comparison of methodologies is shown in Table 3. In this case, a combination of
both methodologies was used to develop information and to estimate EEE and WEEE.

Therefore, to apply this methodology, some of the databases mentioned below have been
used. They have been developed by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC),
a decentralized public agency of technical nature within the orbit of the Ministry of Economy,
which manages at the highest level all the official statistical activities carried out in the Argentine
                  Republic:

                  1) The foreign trade database.
                  2) Statistics of Industrial Products (EPI) and data from the Survey of Household Appliance
                       and Goods Retailers.
                  3) Information for the last 10 years, that allows developing estimations with reasonable
                       statistical validity.
                  4) Analysis of the generation of the average lifetime of EEE in Argentina carried out using
                       the UNU tool. 28
