The instrument was structured into eight sections: section 1 focused on collecting general
information that allowed identification of the subject and the organization providing the
information; section 2 focused on identifying general knowledge related to WEEE Management;
section 3 focused on obtaining information about WEEE collection and transportation; section 4
focused on obtaining information related to the treatment and recycling processes implemented
on WEEE; section 5 focused on obtaining information on the quantity managed, the installed
management capacity and the sources of each tracer; section 6 focused on obtaining
information about the quantity and destination of the different fractions resulting from the
processes mentioned in section 5; section 7 inquired about the process of refunctionalization of
equipment, obtaining information about quantities, sources, destinations and waste generated
by this type of process; and section 8 focused on obtaining complementary information on the
recycling processes that managers carry out simultaneously with the management of WEEE.
