            Best known for the world-famous University of Cambridge, the city of Cambridge, United Kingdom,
            is a historic town that hosts cutting-edge research and innovation.


            The city is one of the leaders in the UK for smart city technology test-bedding and implementation.
            It has a dedicated organization for these endeavours, Smart Cambridge, which has worked with
            the University of Cambridge to launch a smart digital platform. Referred to as the Intelligent City
            Platform (iCP), it collects and processes data from sensors around the city in real time that can be
            used for a variety of purposes.


            Figure 7 shows the diverse areas of sensor deployment in the city.
