3.2 Enabling solutions
The city platform serves as a technological base for a multitude of enabling elements of the city's
digital transformation achieving its internal objectives, informed decision-making by policymakers,
and cost-efficient and effective city operations.
City platforms provide various enabling tools to satisfy different purposes:
• The information systems of the different municipal departments are integrated into the city
platforms. This allows obtaining data of interest from each department, managing it from a
common repository. This information, in the form of KPIs, will serve for decision-making and
for the self-evaluation of the municipal department itself. All this information is displayed on
the dashboards for internal use by municipal managers.
