Certain smart sustainable cities detailed their decision to not invest in a smart city platform. Their
experiences are also part of the useful discoveries detailed in the following cases (organized by
region), which present the findings of the research.
The following sections include highlights about the experience of the selected cities (across
geographic regions), concerning their city platforms and other strategic aspects of interest.
Additionally, the related compendium, which underscores the survey results provided by cities that
have collaborated describing their transformation experience through the use of a city platform,
includes the complete documentation provided by each city that participated in the elicitation
exercise for the development of this report.
