Workshop 1: Overview of SG5 work programme and African priority topicsThis workshop provided an introduction to the work of ITU-T Study Group 5, including its structure, Questions, ongoing work items and key deliverables. It presented the priority topics identified by the SG5 Regional Group for Africa (SG5RG-AFR) and highlighted areas where contributions from African Member States, Sector Members, Associates and academia are encouraged. ​​​​​​​This training was organized for experts from the Ministry of Science, Innovation, Technology and Telecommunications (MICITT) and the Superintendency of Telecommunications (SUTEL) of Costa Rica. It provided an overview of ITU-T activities and working methods, with additional sessions focused on supporting participants in the preparation of contributions to ITU-T Study Group meetings.

Training on ITU-T Activities with focus on ITU-T Study Group 5​​ "Environment, EMF, Climate Action and Circular Economy​" and ITU-T SG20 "IoT, Digital Twins and Smart Cities and Communities" Experts from Dominican Republic (Spanish only)  ​​


This training was delivered for participants from various government institutions and universities in the Dominican Republic. It provided an overview of ITU-T activities and working methods, with a special focus on the work of Study Group 20 (Internet of Things, Digital Twins and smart cities and communities) and Study Group 5 (Environment, EMF,  climate action, and circular economy). The sessions aimed to strengthen national engagement in international standardization efforts and encourage the development of contributions to ITU-T Study Groups.
