History of Activities

​​The ITU/WMO/UNEP Focus Group on AI for Natural Disaster Management (FG-AI4NDM), established by ITU-T Study Group 2 in December 2020, concluded its mandate in March 2024 with the development of f​ive comprehensive reports.​

To build on the progress made, —the Global Initiative on Resilience to Natural Hazards through AI Solutions—was launched in 2024 to continue advancing this important work.
