Datuk Seri Dr. Salleh Said, 57 is currently Sabah's State Assembly Speaker.
He holds PhD. and MSc. in Politics and Government from University Putra Malaysia and a BA in Political Science from Simon Fraser University, Canada. He is married to Datuk Raya Erom and has four children.
He has served as the Chief Minister of Sabah, Deputy Chief Minister cum State Finance Minister, Minister of Local Government and Housing. Among the other positions he has served are District Officer of Kota Belud, Chairman of Malaysia Handicraft Corporation and Science and Technology Advisor to the Chief Minister.
He has also served as the Vice President of the Malaysia Youth Council and the Deputy President of the Sabah National Youth Association (SANYA). Active in politics, Datuk Seri Dr. Salleh Said was a Member of Parliament for the constituency of Kota Belud and is currently the Sabah State Assemblyman for state constituency of Usukan.
He has also been invited to speak at the Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
