Hugo Leonardo Rufiner

H. L. Rufiner is currently Full Professor in the Informatics Department of the National University of Litoral (FICH-UNL), Santa Fe, Argentina. He is also a Principal  Research Scientist of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) at the Research Institute for Signals, Systems and Computational Intelligence (sinc-UNL-CONICET), Full Professor of the Bioengineering Department and Director of the Cybernetics Lab of the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Entre Rios (FI-UNER), Oro Verde, Entre Rios, Argentina. He obtained his Dr.Eng. degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 2005, his M.Eng. degree (Hons.) from the Metropolitan Autonomous University, Mexico, in 1996 and his Bioengineer degree (Hons.) from National University of Entre Rios, in 1992. In 2006, he was awarded by the National Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences of Argentina. He has supervised 12 postgraduate theses on different issues related to speech processing, medical applications and BCI. He has more than 60 journal and 110 conference publications. He has 4 Technological Patents Applications (2 of them applied in Europe). His current research interest includes bioinspired signal processing, computational intelligence, bioacustics and bioengineering.
