SCHRADER Markus

Markus Schrader is working as Head of Economic Cooperation and Development at the Embassy of Switzerland in Pretoria. He coordinates the projects of the economic development cooperation of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO for South Africa. The aim of these activities is to foster inclusive economic growth and enabling the further integration of partner countries into the global economy.
 
Before joining the Embassy, Mr Schrader was a project manager in the Division for Trade Promotion at SECO since 2006 and he dealt mainly with issues of market access for goods and services from developing countries.
Mr Schrader arrived at SECO after having worked for several years for an international development organisation in Brussels, mainly on issues of international trade and rural development.
 
On an educational background, Mr Schrader holds a postgraduate degree in law.
