Marcel Vlaming is technical coordinator of the European
Hearing Industry Manufacturers Association (EHIMA) and project manager for
wireless connectivity of Hearing Aids. Marcel holds a PhD degree in Technical
Physic. He has been working for Philips Telecommunications and later has been
responsible for hearing aid applications at Philips Hearing Instruments. From
2004 to 2009 he has been coordinator for the HEARCOM EU project on hearing research
and internet delivery of hearing diagnostics. Marcel is active in several
standardization organizations and is responsible editor and contributor for
several IEC and ANSI standards on hearing aids.
